Because I grew up in the ill-fitting, hand-me-downs of my cousins', (who were also, unfortunately for me, males), I know the importance of having pretty things of your very own. I would love to have photographs of myself at baby and toddler stages, dressed in cute, stylish clothes, but in all my early photographs, I look like a chimney sweep.
