Zaida Baby Designer Baby Book Giveaway

While my daughter was incubating in utero, I was stricken with severe impatience to see her and nurture her. I kept telling everyone , "I wish I could do something for her". My instinct to prepare for her birth was strong. Her little outfits and baby gear were purchased, washed and folded well before she made her debut.

I ran into a blog giveaway for an item that would have helped me to feel I was contributing more to my child's mental/emotional development when I was pregnant, Zaida Baby's "My First Keepsake." It's a baby book that has multiple functions. It works like traditional baby books, in that you add pictures and memories from your pregnancy to your child's first birthday. Here's where "My First Keepsake" is unique: It is part journal for mom-to-be's feelings, a story book to read to your unborn child everyday and an its exquisite, hard bound, black-linen covered coffee table book, full of gorgeous black and white photographs of baby-filled tummies and darling newborns. I was the lucky winner of the giveaway for the Zaida Baby book, which I passed on to my over-joyed sister.

In person, "My First Keepsake" is even more breath-taking than the website could possibly illustrate. This book is rich with stunning images; if you have it sitting a top a table in your home, it would be appealing to anyone who leafed through it, not just family members. The book also has reassuring and timeless sentiments such as , "We'll both make mistakes as we embark on this journey together. And that's okay." The Zaida Baby book is written as a love letter from mother to child. Imagine your adult child reading those words, knowing you mouthed those phrases to her before her before she was ever born. This would be such a meaningful and treasured gift to give an expectant mother.

Win: Zaida Baby knows how impressed I was with my copy of "My First Keepsake" so they want to share one with a Now Entering Momville reader! All you have to do is visit the Zaida Baby website, and tell me , in the comment section here, which of the book features appeals to you most. For an extra entry you may blog about the giveaway, including a link to this post. Leave a separate comment with the url, letting me know you have done so. U.S. only please. (They are a Canadian company, but I have the book and have to ship it. Sorry.) Giveaway ends 10/22/08. Maximum of 2 entries per person.

I like the prenatal pages. Everyone does the first year milestones but now you have a nice spot to write about when you first felt the baby move.

I used my blog to mark many of the events of my pregnancy, but it won't be the same for her to read it on a blog, as it would be to read it from this super elegant book. That is what I like best - that it is elegant and will stand the test of time.

The fact that it is designed for single moms, two parent families and all the other families.

I like the entire idea of the book. It is so nice to have a pregnancy tracking book and all the baby's firsts book all in one. No need to buy separate books and remember what you need to update. This is just one book to keep track of! Thanks for the chance to win!

I wish I had heard of this during my pregnancy. I have so many pregnant friends right now though that I'd love to share this with.

I like many of its features, but especially the page that says "How did it feel to hold me in your arms for the first time?"

I like all the "family" stuff, grandparents & such.

Definitely the prenatal pages -- I kept track of that information, but it was in a cheap little calendar -- not at all pretty and not at all integrated with the baby book I have.

The "Interactive Pregnancy Journal, with scrapbooking" seemed great to me. A wonderful way to document those days before baby arrives out of the womb.

I love the versatility of the book -- could be for a single mom (or a two mom family). I have a number of friends expecting in the next few months, and they're not all in traditional mom-dad families.

I'm having a baby in less than two months and would love this! It has so many great features but I especially love how classic and timeless the book is, using black linen for the cover and black and white photography. I'm not into all the cutesy baby stuff and this would look like such a nice, professional book that it could be displayed for a long time!

Thanks!
